Avant Tecno expanding premises in FinlandPublished 22/4, 2016 at 11:56
The Finnish loader and attachments manufacturer Avant Tecno has purchased the former industrial premises of Pilkington NSG, a 44,000m2 property on a neighbouring plot. The acquisition will more than double the company’s production space.
“We were in a situation where we would have had to expand our premises and the property purchase enables us to move our operations into new facilities quickly, providing us much-needed space for our production,” said Avanta Tecno sales director Jani Käkelä.
For Avant Tecno and its subsidiary Leguan Lift, which manufactures access platforms, the property acquisition enables the expansion of production in Ylöjärvi and ensure growth potential for the foreseeable future.
Avant’s sales have grown continuously in recent years despite the extremely challenging economic situation in Europe and Russia. Turnover for the financial period that ended September 2014 was €82M, the largest in the company’s history. At group level, turnover exceeded €100M. Currently Avant loaders are sold in more than 50 countries.
“We believe in a minimum annual growth of 5%,” said Käkelä. “The goal is to maintain our growth at approximately the same level in Europe. We will seek growth in the United States, where we established Avant Tecno USA approximately two and a half years ago.”
