New Atlas Copco Portable Energy products at CONEXPOPublished 3/3 at 14:10
Atlas Copco Portable Energy will launch new generators, light towers pumps and compressors at Conexpo on stand C31486.
“The latest additions to our Portable Energy range have been developed to offer further improvements in energy efficiency, greater flexibility on-site and long-lasting performance. This ensures our customers receive maximum productivity, profitability and ease of movement,” said Atlas Copco Portable Energy division president Peter Lauwers.
Atlas Copco’s new QAS generator range has been designed specifically for the US market. The eight model range has power ratings from 25kVA to 330kVA. All QAS generators include the latest Tier 4 Final engine and have a footprint 25% smaller than the previous generation. The starting mechanism ensures that stable power is achieved in less than six seconds.
Also the company’s new iP inverter generators, which are available in power ratings between 1.6kVA to 3kVA, feature variable speed smart control and use electronics and magnets to deliver a predictable source of AC power at the required voltage and frequency.
Conexpo will see the HiLight E3+ make its debut in the US market. The electric-only LED model provides plug-and-light capabilities enabling users to connect to a power source, including auxiliary power, a generator or directly into the grid. Up to four HiLight E3+ models can be powered by a single Atlas Copco iP generator.
All models in the HiLight range include LED lights and Atlas Copco’s HardHat canopy. HiLight towers deliver significant fuel savings of up to 60% when compared to the typical fuel consumption of metal halide solutions. Depending on the model, HiLight towers consume fuel at less than 0.6litre/h, giving a run-time of up to 260h before refuelling. A single HiLight can illuminate an area of up to 4,900m2 and provide an average luminosity of 20 Luxes.
Atlas Copco will also debut three new PAS diesel pumps at the show. With an outlet of 117mm or 200mm, the diaphragm pumps have a pumping head of up to 55m and accommodate flows of up to 16570litres/min.
Over the next 12 months Atlas Copco will also replace its WEDA electric range with the WEDA+ range and the WEDA+ 50 and 60 models will be launched at Conexpo.
Portable compressors will also feature and the new XAS 400 will be displayed, which features a pressure adjusted through cognitive electronics system that enables users to match air flow and pressure to application needs, without requiring multiple compressor units.
Visitors to the booth will also have the opportunity to experience a virtual 3D construction site with the opportunity to interact with different types of portable energy equipment, and learn how Atlas Copco keeps customers connected to machines in the field.
