Scottish demolition specialist goes for HyundaiPublished 22/4, 2016 at 12:44
Dem-Master, a Scotland-based demolition contractor, has recently added two 43t Hyundai R430LC-9A excavators to its machinery fleet. Powered by a 9l Cummins engine, the excavators come complete with full Jayrox demolition cage for the cab, additional side walkways/protection strips and auxiliary pipework for attachments.
They also feature cab guards, full upper structure bandstands and additional handrails on the walkways. Geith hydraulic quick couplers were specified for the machines, with one of the excavators having a welded bracket fitted to allow the use of fixed arm attachments. The cab, boom and upper structure are fitted with an auxiliary LED lighting package. The large cab offers plenty of legroom. A seven-inch colour touch screen displays hydraulic oil and coolant temperatures, fuel levels and the image from the counterweight-mounted camera. Theft prevention is provided by a two-step system of smart key specific to the machine and by the operator needing to enter a password onto the touch screen before the machine will commence operation. Hyundai’s remote machine management system Hy-Mate allows the user to track down the machine’s position. The box section undercarriage is equipped with three heavy-duty track guides to reduce the risk of rebar getting in between the lower rollers.
