The German manufacturer Dr. Schulze presented several new products at Bauma. The focus of this year’s Bauma presentation was set on the flooring solutions under the headline of DRS-FLOOR. In the flooring sector Dr. Schulze had a vision to offer its customers the complete flooring solution from a single source.

The construction equipment sector saw a single-digit decline of 2.5% in 2015, primarily attributable to the market situation in Russia. The German demolition association, Deutscher Abbruchverband, held its annual demolition conference in Berlin in March. This was the 22nd conference since the event started in 1995 and is the largest demolition event in Europe.

At Bauma tyre manufacturer Mitas will introduce the new ERD-45 18.00R33 tyre for rigid dump trucks on stand 127 in hall 6. It has been designed for hard surface conditions with sidewall protection and resistance to cuts.
Production of the new Avant 200 series loader started in January at Avant Tecno’s factory in Ylojarvi, Finland. This compact multi purpose loader is for use in limited space for tackling small demolition jobs.
Rammer has introduced two new PRO hammers the Rammer 2577 PRO and Rammer 5011 PRO. They are suitable for carriers in the 21t to 32t and 43t to 80t weight range respectively. In the US the manufacturer of ground penetrating radar GSSI has launched the StructureScan Mini XT concrete inspection GPR system. StructureScan Mini XT is ideal for locating rebar, conduits, post-tension cables, and voids. The Mini XT can help identify structural elements, and provide real time determination of concrete slab thickness.
