A solution was found in recently introduced diamond impregnated core drill bits which were imported from the USA and Germany. These diamond drill bits rapidly gained success for all sorts of construction projects and were soon followed by diamond tipped sawblades. In order to shorten the delivery times and offer tailor made diamond drill bits and sawblades for the construction market in the Benelux region, a small diamond tool factory- with the name DTW - was acquired in Westerlo Belgium.

This was really the start of Adamas as a diamond tool company in Europe. In the 1980’s, the name of the two companies was rebranded to Adamas, which is the Greek synonym for diamond. Since then, the company has known many commercial highs and lows, but it’s in house development and production of drilling equipment and diamond drill bits is still at the core of the business. Now, after almost 50 years, Adamas is still active as a producer and supplier from two locations in the Netherlands as well as in Belgium. The company serves its domestic markets, has a European network of dealers and multiple OEM accounts. It partners with its clients to provide them with practical knowledge and advice on how to make the best of each of their projects with its products.
