Brokk Sweden subsidiary opens in Stockholm

Brokk has opened the doors to its new customer centre in Stockholm, with salespeople and service technicians ready to take on new assignments.

In Järfälla just outside Stockholm, Brokk has opened a new customer centre, which is also the headquarters of Brokk Sweden AB, a new subsidiary of Brokk AB, focused on sales. In the past, Brokk has had to share sales and development work at its head office in Skellefteå. The new centre is located close to 50% of Brokk’s domestic market and opened in October last year, and since then the business has been in full swing.

Sales and aftermarket under the same roof

The new premises are approximately 600m² in size and contain offices, warehouses, and a service workshop. In addition to sales and aftermarket, training is also offered here. The focus of the centre is on selling and servicing Brokk’s products, but in the long run, Aquajet’s range of water jetting equipment will also be included.

To get the new business off to a flying start, Brokk has hired sales people Kevin Karlsson and Lars Milde. Kevin is responsible for the central Sweden area and the north region, while Lars is responsible for southern Sweden. “It’s exciting to work at a leading Swedish company,” says Kevin. “When I learned about the products, I felt that this is really cool, I want to be part of this. Brokk has become a bit of a term, many companies say, for example, that they offer Brokk services and everyone understands what it is.”

The objective is not only to sell machines, but to establish a contact point with customers and potential customers and to be a helping hand, especially in terms of aftermarket support. “There is already a high customer focus at Brokk, but we want to make it even higher. Brokk should be the obvious choice, and a good aftermarket sows the seeds for that,” says Kevin. “It should be easy to reach people. If a customer has a problem with a machine, we’ll discuss it. They just need to call us and we’ll find the answer. We’re like a spider in a web.”

Kevin has experience as a sales person at a major Swedish company and as a service technician at Electrolux industrial operations. Lars has extensive industrial experience in, among other things, service of ABB’s industrial robots. In terms of aftermarket, Alan Lilja and Peter Cars are responsible; Alan goes out and helps the customer in the field while Peter is stationed on site. No service job is too big or small to be taken care of from the workshop in Stockholm.

Brokk’s new demolition robots

In April and May, Brokk ran it ‘Smartpower+’ roadshow in Sweden. During the roadshow it presented its newest generation of demolition robots in the Smartpower+ Series, and also offered participants a chance to drive the machines. The event was just one of several examples of how Brokk wants to get closer to its customers, especially in an age where the physical meeting has been replaced by a quick conversations online.

“Being able to meet your customer in real life has been decisive for opening the location in Stockholm,” said Roger Simonsson, CEO of Aquajet Systems AB and now also Brokk Sverige AB. “We are all relationship people, and the proximity to the customer is the big reason why we started. Being able to have digital meetings on the computer is a good complement, but we must be able to meet in person.”
