The northern Europe demolition exhibition is back after almost four years in quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic and is now set to be held on the 24 and 25 November, 2022 in Stockholm.

Finally, Demcon, the Scandinavian and Northern Europe demolition show will take place in Stockholm after being postponed twice due to the pandemic. The show is set to take place on the 24 and 25 November, 2022 at the Infra Exhibition in Scandic Hotel, Bredden north of Stockholm. The demolition show has been held at this location since 1998.

High quality visitors

Demcon covers machinery and equipment for demolition, recycling, concrete sawing and drilling, remediation, concrete dust and slurry containment and filtering, concrete floor grinding and polishing, hydrodemolition and other related techniques and methods. It has proved to be a highly popular show with attendees coming from all Nordic countries including the Baltic states. It is a highly focused trade show with an extremely high quality visitor profile with only professional contractors working in the above fields attending the show.

About 35 companies are exhibiting this year and they very well represent the above industries in Scandinavia. Many Swedish and international players will exhibit, details of which can be found in the exhibition plan in this spread. This year, Deconta, Falch and Heger from Germany will exhibit as well as Indian diamond tool manufacturer, Dee Tec. Normally Demcon takes place in September, but due to bauma in Germany being held in October, as well as the disruption caused by the pandemic, the organisers decided to push back the date for the show to November. The organisers of Demcon believe that it is better that the show takes place after bauma as many new developments will be released at the German mega-show.

Supported by branch associations

Demcon is supported by the Swedish branch association BFB, Byggnadsberedning that includes both the Swedish demolition and remediation contractors as well as concrete sawing and drilling contractors. BFB will hold its autumn meeting in conjunction with Demcon. The show is also supported by the international umbrella association of concrete cutters, IACDS, as well as the European Demolition Association, EDA. IACDS and EDA which will have a joint booth at the show.

According to the tradition, the Demcon gala dinner will be held in the evening of the 24 November. During the dinner the Swedish Demolition Awards ceremony will take place.
