The D1600 series of drill bits – tailored for the highest demands of drill stand drilling - is said by the company to power through jobs with the new series bringing together the best features and advantages from Husqvarna’s previous drilling technologies. The D1600 series is available in three models – D1610, D1620 and D1640 – offering performance across a diverse range of applications, carefully designed to work with a wide range of drill motors. 

The D1610 is specifically designed for the DM 1 ‘Pace’ drill motor. The shape of the contact surface ensures a smooth and quick start and has self-centring capabilities, whilst the reduced active surface allows high drilling speed with minimal working pressure. Minimal friction and vibrations result in a fast and smooth cut. The innovative design is said to ensure easy core removal, eliminating any unnecessary complications during the drilling process. Furthermore the drill bits have been adapted to equipment with low, intermediate and high power motors.

Other variants include the D1620 which is designed to deliver high performance in a very wide window of applications, covering hard, medium hard and softer concrete and said to deliver very fast and smooth drilling speeds through rebars. Finally the D1640 has a robust and reliable design, developed for slightly tougher applications in terms of both machine power and material to drill, such as abrasive concrete and concrete foundations.
