Europe’s largest demolition gathering Fachtagung Berlin 2024
Published 4/3 at 10:54Fachtagung Abbruch is set to be the biggest demolition gathering ever this year. Here is a preview of what will happen concerning conference speeches and who will exhibit at the show.
This year's gathering of the German trade association for demolition and recycling contractors, Fachtagung Abbruch 2024, looks set to be one of the biggest in the industry in Europe in a long time. The theme of the gathering is sustainability in demolition. A total of 1,200 people have registered for the conference and 120 exhibiting companies registered for the show. Fachtagung Abbruch 2024 has been organised by the Deutscher Abbruchverband and will be held on 22 March at Station Berlin which is located at Luckenwalder Strasse 4-6, in the middle of Berlin. Most of those attending the conference will stay at the Radisson Hotel Berlin, which has a free shuttle between the hotel and the conference at Station Berlin. It is still possible to register for the conference (€420 plus 19% tax for non-members of the Deutscher Abbruchverband) and €380 plus 19% tax for members.
Interesting programme
During the conference day on 22 March, a series of 18 lectures interspersed with networking will be held in the exhibition section. Fachtagung Abbruch has long been Europe's largest annual gathering for the German demolition industry but is increasingly important to the whole of Europe. The German Demolition Association is the world’s largest demolition trade organisation with nearly 1,000 members.
Premium sponsors for the event are Epiroc and HCA Assekuranzmakler. Gold sponsors are Kiesel, Lehnhoff, Liebherr, MBI Deutschland, OilQuick, Volvo CE, Wirtgen Group and Zeppelin. Silver sponsors are CR Construction Rental, Deutesche Leasing, FRD Furukawa, Genesis, Kobelco, Sennebogen and WBI Warner Bau- und Industriemaschinen.
As usual, it will be an interesting and busy conference day with many interesting lectures. The moderator for the day is Kristina zur Mühlen, a well-known German TV journalist and physics graduate.
PDi Magazine will be on hand as usual to report on the conference and trade show with a large summary article appearing in PDi 2-2024 which will be published just before another major European event for the year, namely the Intermat trade show in Paris at the end of April, Intermat.
See you in Berlin in March.
