In 2023, over 1,200 participants attended with 117 exhibitors displaying their wares in over 1,060m2 of trade show space. This showed that Fachtagung Abbruch is now a major event for European companies involved in demolition and dismantling and has led to high expectations for the 2024 event. 

 

Conference programme

For the first time, the conference programme has a title which is ‘Sustainability in demolition’. The conference programme consists of a panel discussion with experts in the field of sustainability, such as Professor. Dr. Christian Berg and Sybille Mai. In addition, the programme includes 10 further presentations by experts on sustainable topics in demolition, each followed by a discussion, so that the attendees are more closely involved. This year, for example, there will be a presentation on ‘Urban mining in perfection’, as well as one on ‘Demolition material as an economic CO2 sink’ and ‘Selected examples of building demolition’. The conference will be moderated by TV journalist Kristina zur Mühlen.

 

Industry exhibition and Dialogue evening

More than 85 exhibitors have already registered with over 950m2 of net exhibition space already being registered for the industry exhibition covering a wide range of products. The current list of exhibitors can be viewed next to the article. For an updated list please check the event website. Registration as an exhibitor is still possible until 5 January 2024. The dialogue evening will traditionally also take place at Station Berlin, with the exhibition remaining open in parallel. This aims to improve the exchange of information providing opportunities for both attendees and exhibitors, as well as enabling a variety of networking opportunities throughout the evening.
