Floor saw with automatic feed system
Published 22/12, 2023 at 15:47Lissmac’s new Multicut 590 is designed to be a powerful floor saw for the toughest operating conditions. Its EU Stage V/US EPA Tier 4 Final certified Perkins 36kW turbo diesel engine is said to drive saw blades up to 1,200mm in size and achieve cutting depths of up to 520mm. The compact machine has a hydraulically assisted steering wheel, which enables very precise and comfortable work with minimal steering forces. An optional running board can be fitted for travelling long distances.
Maximum efficiency
The 590 comes with Lissmac’s ‘Power Control System’ (PCS) which has been developed to get the maximum power out of the machine without overloading it. The service life of the diamond tool is said to increase significantly due to the constant load. PCS also assists the operator of the floor saw by automatically regulating the feed rate during the cutting process. By temporarily throttling the feed speed when the preset pressure range is exceeded, the machine adapts to the prevailing conditions and thus continuously generates the best cutting performance. “PCS is only available from Lissmac. We convert 100% motor power into 100% cutting performance. This 100% efficiency without break and error can only be achieved by the automatic system,” says product manager Roland Gaile.
The frame of the machine is designed for a long operating life whilst the high performance electric drive with integrated parking brake is designed for precision feed. The two speed gearbox has been designed to ensure the ideal operating point when cutting and moving. In addition, the machine can be moved and set up without the diesel engine running. The saw blade drive can be selected between neutral, synchronous, or counter rotation. A four speed gearbox sets the saw blade speed to 950, 1,400, 2,100 and 2,600rpm.
Alternatively, three different saw blade shaft kits, each with one speed, are available and can be con-verted at any time. A change between left/right cutting is possible.
Milestone in floor cutting
The Multicut 590 is equipped with a modern control panel to clearly control all functions and displays important operating data. The desired cutting depth can also be preset via the display, the cutting depth display is digital. For a long service life, the machines are equipped with an electric saw blade lift by means of solid, torsion resistant spindles or scissor principle, as well as a precise feed control by potentiometer. “Lissmac stands for innovation and proves it again with a bang. The Power Control System in the Multicut 590 marks a turning point in floor cutting. Without automatic control, the gains in cutting performance, comfort and tool life would be unthinkable. We combine the advantages of digitalisation with solid mechanical engineering and user experience. That makes us strong and brings our customers forward,” says Gaile.
