Growing interest in IDA convention and Demtech tradeshow to be held in Bengaluru, India in September 2023

Despite a growing recession in many markets globally, the building and construction business is doing very well in India. This is promising for the coming IDA convention and Demtech tradeshow in September.

“Organising the second edition of Indian Demolition Association (IDA) convention and Demtech tradeshow now in September is very good timing. The deconstruction, demolition, recycling, remediation and concrete cutting sectors in India are quite busy. There is a clear suppressed need to gather again among contractors and suppliers in India since the IDA and Demtech event in November 2019,” says Mohan Ramanathan, president of IDA and managing director of Advanced Construction Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

This time in Bengaluru

The IDA convention and Demtech tradeshow 2023 will take place on the 28-29 September at White Petals, Palace grounds in Bengaluru, India. Quite a number of sponsors and exhibitors are already booked for the event and several more are in process of booking. The number of participants at the convention is expected to increase to well over 600 persons, exceeding the number of 500 at the event in 2019 in Mumbai. “We have already received a great level of interest from a large number of contractors working in the Indian segments of deconstruction, demolition, recycling, remediation, hydrodemolition, concrete cutting, concrete floor grinding, etc. There is reportedly big interest among the contractors to find out more about foreign equipment technologies,” says Ramanathan.

Several already booked and more to come

The committee responsible for the conference programme is now putting together the list of topics and its speakers. There will be two quite busy days. New for this year’s event is an outdoor demo area with plenty of space to demonstrate machinery for at least eleven exhibitors. The indoor exhibition area has space for up to 80 exhibitors, depending on the size of the booths. However, the position as headline sponsor is still available. Affiliated sponsors of the event are so far Volvo Construction Equipment, Jet Demolition, Edifice Engineering and Epiroc. Gold sponsors are MBI, Lissmac and Demarec. Silver sponsors are Indeco, Cut Maestro, Trevi Benne, Genesis Engineering, Terex and SDT Sanwa.

Exhibiting companies booked so far are Volvo Construction Equipment, Jet Demolition, Edifice Engineering, Epiroc, MBI, Lissmac, Demarec, Indeco, Cut Maestro, Trevi Benne, Genesis Engineering, Terex, SDT Sanwa, Dee Tec, Annopuma Construction, SGC, MB Crusher, Dozco Breakers, MDT Madras Diamond, Professional Drilling and Husqvarna. The organiser of the event is IDA and its media partners are PDi Magazine, PDa Magazine and Professionell Demolering, as well as the Indian journal NBM&CW.

The chosen conference venue for the event is White Petals, Palace Grounds right in the centre of Bengaluru. White Petals is located near Mekhri Circle in the Karnataka capitol Bengaluru. Besides an extensive conference programme for two days there will be quite a lot of time to visit both the exhibition and demonstration areas for the conference attendees.  On the evening of 28 September there will be a cocktail party, gala dinner with entertainment. Suggestions for papers, booking of sponsorships and exhibition space can be done through the Demtech website.
