Five new sorting grapples and padding buckets were introduced by MB Crusher at SaMoTer 2023. They have been introduced to facilitate work on site, reduce processing times, and save on management costs.

There are two new models that expand the compact line of sorting grapples, namely the MB-G400 and the MB-G500. The MB-G400 weighs 200kg and fits on mini excavators from 2.4t to 4t, whilst the MB-G500 weights 42kg and fits midi excavators from 5t to 7t. Designed to be compact, precise and very versatile, both new sorting grapples have a wider opening of the claws and therefore can grip and handle even large materials. Both are equipped with an anti-fall valve, which maximises safety on site through avoiding accidental openings in case of sudden pressure drop of the carrier machine and a silent block, which allows its use even in areas where it is necessary to keep noise under control.

All wear parts are made of Hardox, with both models designed for the installation of an electrical kit for two pipe functionality, which allows working with a 360° rotation movement even with excavators that have a system with only two pipes. They are also equipped with an interchangeable blade that can be turned upside down to extend the life of the blades. Both are available in two versions, with or without a rotating turret. In both models, accessories that simplify the handling operations may be installed. These include a clamshell kit to collect and handle small material, load soil, gravel and sand; the grip improvement kit to handle material of particular shapes; and for the MB-G500, a tilting lifting kit with rubber profiles to handle blocks of linear and delicate material and an internal keel grip improvement kit.

Of the new padding buckets, two are designed for compact machines and the third is for heavy machines. All three are designed to facilitate work in all types of construction sites where it is necessary to aerate packed soil. For example, when arranging a green area, a garden, or a flowerbed, or when there is a need to reclaim and clean the land from various demolition debris, stones or roots. They are also designed for use when covering pipes or trenches and for the construction of the laying bed.

The MB-HDS307 weighs 170kg and can be installed on excavators from 2.5t to 5t, whilst the MB-HDS312 weighs 720kg and is designed for use with excavators from 7t to 11t. The MB-HDS412 weighs 1.2t and is used with excavators from 10t to 14t. All three have been designed for easy maintenance with central greasing with maintenance devices located inside the bucket tool compartment.

As with the other ‘HDS’ models, the new machines also have rotors that are replaced in a simple way, directly on site safely in a short period of time. The patented MB Crusher system holds the rotors still so that they can be easily extracted and exchanged with the angular phase being already aligned. In addition, an automatic hydraulic bumper system reduces hydraulic shock so that the engine, transmission parts and operating machine are not damaged, all aiding durability and reducing maintenance costs.
