Each Cams plant is equipped with a generator set featuring a robust and efficient diesel engine, coupled with an alternator to generate the necessary electricity for machine operation, enabling onsite power. Moreover, to optimise torque and minimise fuel consumption, the engine operates consistently at 1,500rpm. All machines can seamlessly switch to full electric mode. Even in this mode, they are designed for the efficient shredding of coarse materials thanks to their patented hydraulic pusher system, which automates the pre-shredding of bulky blocks in the loading hopper.

The ‘Centauro’ series

Centauro crushers aim to seamlessly combine shredder, screen, and magnetic separator into a single piece of equipment being designed to process materials that are typically challenging. Thanks to innovative patented technology, they are said to crush materials with a significant reduction in required power, costs, and environmental impact. Each model comes equipped with radio control for remote management and can be customised to meet customers’ specific needs, providing an efficient solution in any given context. They can operate in fully electric mode for zero CO2 emissions.

The new ‘APR’

The latest Centauro is the APR series that CAMS says redefines standards of sustainability and efficiency. CAMS says the true innovation of the range lies in its ability to recover 100% of asphalt, marking a step into the future of recycling. By combining two shredders, a screen, and a deferizer into one multifunctional machine, the Centauro APR is designed to offer versatility and performance.

The APR series underscores CAMS’ commitment to fully recycling asphalt. It has been developed to eliminate waste, reduce costs associated with purchasing new material, and simultaneously minimise the environmental impact linked to asphalt production. The power and adaptability of the Centauro APR range becomes evident in its capability to process a wide array of materials, including the most challenging ones. These machines are said to maintain consistent productivity even under harsh conditions, while concurrently decreasing energy consumption and operational expenses.

The Centauro APR in all electric mode contributes to reducing emissions and particulate matter, reflecting CAMS’ vision for a green and sustainable future.
