SaMoTer 2020 is set to provide opportunities for machinery manufacturers and buyers to both exhibit and see some of the latest developments in construction, with the Veronafiere show offering a broader and more complete round up of the industry than ever before. The show will be held from the 21-25 March at the Veronafiere in Italy, with a larger show ground, expecting many more exhibitors and visitors than in 2017.

As well as the usual show and Asphaltica, which will highlight the latest in roads and infrastructures (jointly organised with SITEB - Italian roads and bitumen organisation), the 31st SaMoTer will also see the debut of ICCX Southern Europe, aimed at the precast sector. Highlighting the renewed importance of the show, both Liebherr and Wacker Neuson return after last exhibiting in 2011. Other confirmed exhibitors include: Bobcat, Doosan, Eurocomach,  Hidromek,  Hyundai,  Komatsu,   Sany, Takeuchi,  Venieri  and Yanmar.

The  last  show  in 2017  attracted  455  exhibitors,  of which  25% were from outside Italy, with the 65,000m2 exhibition space attracting more than 84,000 visitors from 86 countries.  Today, three months from the opening day, confirmed exhibitor numbers are 50% higher than at the same time in 2016. As stated, the show will see the return of both Liebherr and Wacker Neuson for the first time since 2011. “The Liebherr Group, in the wake of positive growth in sales in Italy over the last 5 years and also to emphasise its desire  to consolidate  and  expand  market  penetration  throughout  Italy,  has  decided  to attend  SaMoTer again,” said Christophe  Sanchez, CEO at Liebherr Emtec Italia SpA. “We were keen to place our trust in the updated format  of  the  event  and  Veronafiere's  promotion  campaign.  We  are  confident  that  the  2020 edition  will be successful  and help us improve  our visibility  and thereby  achieve  the increasingly  ambitious goals that the Liebherr Group has set itself for Italy.”

Wacker Neuson also shares this view: “After a few years of market instability and consequent restructuring of the sales network, Wacker Neuson has decided  to  attend  SaMoTer,”  said  Georg  Jung,  sole  director  of  Wacker  Neuson  Italy.  “It  will  be  an opportunity for us to present the Wacker Neuson Group's innovations to sector operators, including the ranges of vehicles  and solutions  characterised  as ever by cutting edge  technology,  high performance  and above all important savings; qualities that can be summarised in two words: efficient machines.”

The show, which increasingly emphasises manufacturers’ innovations and developments, is set to capitalise on the improved prospects for the Italian construction industry. With increased numbers of exhibitors, more exhibition space, partnership shows, SaMoTer 2020 certainly looks a promising show.
