With the new plant, the production area has more than doubled in size to 14,000m², but as a recycling specialist since its early days, Lindner has placed great emphasis on sustainability. Therefore a particular emphasis was put on minimising the carbon footprint when planning and constructing the new building with the company being committed to prioritising recycled and carbon neutral materials and generating renewable energy. Air source heat pumps and ground water pumps provide for cooling, heating and ventilation, and the building’s own photovoltaic system on the roof provides the necessary energy. As part of the opening celebrations, the company was also able to celebrate 10 years of Lindner Washtech, its plastics recycling specialist subsidiary, as well as celebrate Lindner’s 75th year in business.
