Rotair launches new portable air compressors at SaMoTer
Published 5/7, 2023 at 08:15The main highlight of SaMoTer for Rotair was the global launch of two new portable air compressors: MDVN34E and MDVN32B.
The MDVN32 was developed to have a common base that can accommodate both an electric motor or petrol power source to produce 3,200l/min of compressed air with the option of working with a generator and yet remain within the European Stage V regulations. The award winning portable air compressors additionally have European road homologation enabling their use across the European Union.
MDVN34E electric portable air compressor offers construction sites 3,400l/min of compressed air, without the use of internal combustion engines, enabling work where diesel engines have been banned. Its design allows it to be connected to the construction site's electric network and allows the air flow rate to be modulated according to the user's demand. The MDVN32B petrol portable air compressor uses the same chassis and body, but with a petrol engine variant capable of delivering 3,200l/min at a constant 7bar, within the Stage V parameters. Its performance is said to equal at least diesel Stage V engines. An optional generator will also be available within the units’ architecture.
Also introduced at the show was the redesigned OL95ST, Rotair’s new 95kg hydraulic breaker. It has been newly designed to reduce material and production costs, while maintaining the impact energy. The new breakers meet the same standards as the existing range in terms of very low vibration, compact design and power. This is the first to be redesigned, with new models across the lightweight series of hydraulic breakers being available soon.
In addition to the new compressors and breaker launched at SaMoTer, Rotair displayed examples from the full range of portable air compressors, hydraulic breakers, and tracked mini dumpers. These included the ‘VRK Fibra Plus’ which is designed for fibre optic cable laying. Its compact design is said to be highly maneuverable, easy to lift and transport. The MDVN53ECO5 is an example of Rotair’s redesigned ‘MDVN’ range of portable air compressors for ‘medium mile’ fibre optic cable laying at 14bar pressure.
The ’Rampicar’ R70 and R100 mini dumpers were also exhibited; these are designed for professional users, providing the ideal balance between price and performance. They are equipped with fully hydrostatic transmissions to aid smooth operation for the powerful requirements of various jobs in renovation sites and civil works. Finally, Rotair’s lightweight and heavyweight hydraulic breakers were shown consisting of a portfolio ranging from 50kg to 2,200kg designed to meet wide ranging demolition needs.
