Published 4/3 at 11:03Polish manufacturer Huddy Diamonds s.r.o. has introduced two walk behind machines, the RK-10 crack chaser and RK-10E joint cutter under its Diakat brand.
RK-10
The RK-10 crack chaser is a compact machine for flatter cuts, used in road repair. It has small proportions and offers easy handling as well a precise adjustment of cutting depth. The forward rotation for the tool leaves less debris in the joint. Ergonomics of the machine facilitates the handling. RK-10 is designed for dressing of cracks in asphalt and concrete prior to sealing. The rear wheels are mounted on a steering pivot being designed for great manoeuvrability which enables the machine to follow the cracks easily. The machine uses 180mm tuck point diamond blades for dry cutting up to the depth of 40mm.
The RK-10E
The RK-10E joint cutter can be powered by a Cima 2.2kW or a Siemens 4.0kW electric motor. It is a very compact machine for flatter cuts. It is designed to offer high power and efficiency. As with the RK-10, it has small proportions and is easy to handle being designed to offer precision adjustment of cutting depth. The electric RK-10E is mainly used by flooring specialist for cutting joints in different surfaces, like concrete, anhydrite, epoxy and similar. It can be used for reopening of old joints or for making new joints (dilatations). The machine can use up to 205mm diamond blades and allows dry as well as wet cutting up to the depth of 50mm. The machine can be used with V shaped blades for chamfering joints prior to sealing. An easy connecting dust collector hose has been used for dust free operation.
