The Avant loader series is now complete with two loader models entering production. The Avant 855i is a single speed version of the most powerful Avant model, the 860i, whilst the new Avant 845 is a single speed version of the Avant 850. Aimed at different markets, the Avant 855i complies with the world’s strictest emissions standards (Stage V and Tier 4) whereas the Avant 845 is directed to markets with Stage 3a emission standards.

PSR Turnkey Solutions Ltd, based in Rotherham in South Yorkshire in the UK, has purchased new Bobcat mini excavators and a new Bobcat compact track loader for use on the company’s renewable energy and drainage projects across the UK. The new Bobcat equipment has been supplied by AMS Bobcat Limited, based in Scunthorpe, the authorised Bobcat dealer for Lincolnshire and South and East Yorkshire. The new machines comprise of a Bobcat E19 1.9t and two E27z 2.7t mini excavators and a T450 compact track loader.
At InnoTrans 2024 in Berlin, Kemroc focused on its Kemsolid business with the centre of the display being a ‘KSI’ mixing attachment, developed to simplify the MMI in-situ mixing process for soil permeability and soil stabilisation, making it more cost effective and flexible. This process can be used to upgrade traffic routes to cope with higher traffic loads and speeds found in rapid transit installations and motorways.
D-Drill has recently added pull testing to its list of services where members of the team utilise specialist equipment to test the load bearing strength of fixtures and fittings. It has proved to be particularly popular with mobile phone mast installers which must ensure their bases and their fixtures can bear the weight of the structures that they will house.
MiC 4.0 is an international working group formed by the VDMA and HDB. The MiC 4.0-BUS has been created as a standard for manufacturer independent communication between attachments and construction machines. To this end, an interface has been developed that covers all relevant use cases for communication between the attachment and the machine, with the aim of investigating what data needs to be exchanged. This includes identification data such as serial number and tool type; status data such as measured angular position, and control data for controlling the tool functions.
The new IMP 15 has been designed specifically for the scrap yard activity to enable users to speed up work and thereby maximise profits for each vehicle scrapped. It is now said to be even more efficient and versatile thanks to the new Auto Dismantler shear clamp configuration, designed to combine the different cutting actions, the separation and handling of materials in the motor vehicle scrapping business. The jaw design of the new shear clamp is specifically designed to allow a perfect grip and therefore faster extraction of different recycling components consisting of motors, alloy parts and wiring etc.
Goldhofer gave pride of place to its five axle ‘Stepstar Z’ at IAA 2022 which delivers considerable weight savings, resulting in payloads of up to 48.5t within permit. The intelligent design and use of premium components ensure a long service life and reliability. An optional floor covering offers more loading height and is 80% lighter than conventional rubber mats. Sanding of the loading area ensures safety in all weather conditions.

It is with great sadness that PDi Magazine has to announce that the founder and CEO of Mantovanibenne Srl, Alberto Mantovani passed away on 28 October 2024. This is a loss for the Mantovani family and for the whole Mantovanibenne company, and also a great loss for our industry as Alberto was one of the great pioneers in the development and manufacture of hydraulic tools for demolition and recycling, as he was a great visionary and a key figure in the industry, marking the company's history with unparalleled dedication and an extraordinary capacity for innovation.
