As 2024 begins to take its course, I can’t help but reflect on how far we’ve come. Global pandemic, decline of the market and international conflicts, much of which has affected the industry professionals from all around the globe. Despite everything, the drilling and sawing industry and its workers has remained steady in its values and goals, moving, sometimes slower, to unite the sector, exchanging knowledge and ideas, as well as promoting better standards of training and safety among the companies.

The International Concrete Sawers & Drillers Association (IACDS) held its annual meeting in conjunction with bauma on the Thursday of the show. The meeting was held at the show with the traditional industry networking event and the presentation of the IACDS Diamond Awards taking place immediately afterwards.

IACDS will return in 2023 stronger than ever to serve drilling and sawing professionals. Next year, IACDS will travel to the city which is the epitome of art, romance, and food: Venice, where the IACDS Annual Convention and meeting 2023 will be held from the 25 to the 27 of May.
